Project need

Looking for a volunteer to help with recruiting Asian young professionals for our young professional committee which aims to increase participants, helps with fundraising, networking, plan events, and activities. My Friends Place NY, Inc. is a volunteer based nonprofit founded in Brooklyn aims to empower underserved youths and their families through learning opportunities and youth development programs to help them become confident and self-sufficient and increase awareness of mental health.

Professional Asian Leaders (PAL) was formed to recruit young professionals who want to give back to the community through volunteerism. Our goal is to help the next generation of youths in the Chinese communities in Brooklyn by providing mentorship and creating outreach programs. PAL is also a platform for young Asian professionals to socialize and network through different events hosted by My Friends Place NY with the intent to increase visibility for young Asian professionals through community involvement.

Since the nonprofit is volunteer based, we are looking to expand our volunteer pool and you can make a positive impact in the community.
We have 2-3 committed volunteers but would need someone who are great with networking, outgoing, ideas who can help with recruitment strategies. We have a website, Facebook account and we can create flyer or other documents needed for the volunteer to use. In addition, if needed, we can plan special events in person to for recruitment such as networking event.

The purpose of My Friends Place NY Inc. is to empower underserved youths with limited social communication condition and their families who resides in the immigrant community in Brooklyn. The goal is to help them improve their quality of lives and become self-sufficient.

Once accepted, you'll be able to get right to work. We will check in with you periodically to make sure you have everything you need.
