Project Overview
Grant writer . We request a volunteer who is well experiencesd in writing grants also has brought some grants to any other organizations, has some connections with foundations that does grants, could research and write grants for the organization www.wishwas.orgwishwas.org is a non profit that works with marginalized low income immigrant women who are also struggling with literacy.
We provide workforce development and help with Workers cooperative training.
Currently we train our women In sewing and connect them to the fashion industry.
We have a list of donors who have already donated to the org. We also have a template that could be used to write grants. We also have a budget and anything else that is needed for grant writing.
Nonprofit Overview
“Wishwas” is a New York city based not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to empower low-income immigrant women. We train women in various skills through which, they can gainfully employ themselves.
We expand opportunity for low-income communities through leadership development, personal finance management, business/entrepreneurship training, community building and micro-credit/micro-finance loans. Through small cooperatives, we will create a safe space where immigrant women can come together and develop confidence, faith and trust in each other and their futures. We envision a world where all women will have the opportunity to achieve financial freedom.
