Grant research and writing assistance
United Way of Greater Nashua is seeking a pro bono Grant Writer conduct research into grants and other funding opportunities. The Volunteer Grant Writer will be asked to write, edit, and coordinate the submission of letters of inquiry and grant proposals to foundations, corporate, and governmental financial contributors. All pertinent information regarding organization finances and other statistics will be provided by the organization in a timely manner. United Way of Greater Nashua funds 16 agencies in our area who focus on healthcare, education, and financial stability. Much of our fundraising is done through workplace donations and fundraising events like our winter obstacle race and our summer rappelling event, but we could do much more with additional grant funds. We are a very small organization with only two full time staff members so we are able to donate the vast majority of our funds to the agencies we support. We rely on volunteers and pro bono help to get much of the heavy lifting done. We have all of our statistics about who our funds are donated to and what they do with those funds available. We make a habit of keeping very detailed records of all financial transactions, all grant applications that agencies submit to us, and all steps we take to vet those agencies, as well as any follow-up materials the agencies provide us with. We also have a well researched list of grants we would like to pursue.
