Project Overview

Volunteer Needed to Support Kageno with Google Ad Grants Program for Program in Africa.

Our nonprofit organization was approved for up to $10,000/month of Google Ads for Nonprofits as part of Google's Ad Grant Program. We are new to the platform and digital advertising space and are looking for support from someone who has experience with Google Ads and/or online advertising, keyword research, analytics, etc. We would love to increase traffic to our website, drive awareness of our mission, generate donations, and support around the work we do in Africa.

If you have digital marketing experience or other skillsets related to: Interactive/Social Media/SEO Marketing Communications Marketing Research/Analysis Marketing Strategy and Planning Sales/Marketing Technical Writing Project Planning Business Development & Sales Customer Acquisition Sales Process, we'd love to hear from you!

This is an opportunity for an individual to use their time and talent to support community development work in East Africa. Our organization works in Kenya and Rwanda and offers a 360-degree holistic approach to poverty alleviation as we realized addressing a single problem wouldn’t allow us to have the greatest impact.

Instead, Kageno is a big picture nonprofit with boots on the ground. We provide the infrastructure, resources, and knowledge needed to develop education initiatives, stronger infrastructures for community health, diversified economies, and a healthier environment.

We assess the needs of each village in cooperation with the local government to have the greatest long-term impact. Recognizing that women and children suffer disproportionately from poverty, Kageno places particular emphasis on working with women to create permanent social change. Women are at the heart of our community-based efforts.

We empower the villagers to be an integral part of running and participating in each program we establish. Our goal is to create a foundation for healthy, sustainable, stable, and self-sufficient communities.

If you are a volunteer looking to support these needs, we would love to work together. This is a great opportunity to support our NGO with advancing its mission and has potential for long-term, on-going volunteer support if of interest.

We have already been approved for the Google Ad Grants for Nonprofits and have an account set up for Ads. We can provide login credentials and any information/details that are needed to support this project.

Nonprofit Overview

Kageno means A Place of Hope, in Luo, a Kenyan dialect. We founded Kageno on this guiding principle. Our mission is to transform communities in need into places of hope and opportunity. Since 2003, we’ve impacted thousands of lives by breaking cycles of poverty, allowing healthier, more sustainable communities to emerge. Our four Kageno programs operating in Africa address the diversified needs of each community. Kageno is a big picture non-profit, with boots on the ground able to provide the infrastructure, resources, and knowledge needed to develop education initiatives, stronger infrastructures for community health, diversified economies, and a healthier environment. We’ve impacted thousands of people, and with your support, we can continue to do so.
