Project Overview

Exodus Transitional Community established the Exodus Center for Trauma Innovation (ECTI) in 2021. ECTI (ECTI) is a one-of-a-kind healing and training space that aims to promote healing and resiliency in underserved communities by helping to interrupt cycles of violence and provide crucial resources. We are currently gaining much traction through our creative approach to healing trauma in our community of East Harlem, mainly through training, technical assistance, nontraditional and traditional forms of therapy; we are looking to brand the institute in a way that it remains in operation within the larger Exodus umbrella, yet maintains a distinct identity as an institute for practice, training, and research. We need a marketing expert who will help us develop a brand identity by helping us craft language for our mission, vision, and core values as a trauma-informed institute. We also need someone who could help us to package our offerings, namely training and technical assistance, which we offer to other agencies in NYC and across the nation. We believe someone in helping us to gain clarity about our brand identity will guide us around the use of colors, language, etc. that would represent the type of work we do at the Center for Trauma Innovation.

Join us in our quest for wellbeing in mind, body, and spirit; with people who have been justice-impacted in our community, through participating in our innovative programming. We recognize trauma is complex and needs to be addressed through multiple, creative, and evidence-based approaches. Our trainings are done in circles with a human-centered approach to learning and belonging. If you consider yourself a healer and want to share the gift of movement through yoga, boxing, massage or any other embodied activity. Or are you a cook who can teach people how to eat well, promoting gut health; a group facilitator with some emotional intelligence, de-escalating conflict, and looking to share nuggets of wisdom, join us in this beautiful endeavor. Join our healing caravan today!ECTI has its distinct values/commitments in the 10 Commitments toward a trauma-informed culture. We also maintain an identity that is distinct within the larger work that Exodus does, which demonstrates we are ready to deepen our institutional identity as a premiere trauma institute in East Harlem and communities of color. We have developed training content to offer training to other organizations, institutional partners, and the public as well. We have a team who have lived experience (people formerly incarcerated) who are going to lead the charge, leveraging their intimate knowledge of the criminal justice system for the healing of those impacted by it. We continue to also have generative conversations about how our approach to being trauma-informed is distinct, as well as the populations we're working with in particular.

Once the project is complete our newsletter, website, and logo will reflect the changes we've made in the branding package of the institute. Our content will also reflect the new changes, and we will be ready to more confidently talk about what we do in compelling and aesthetically pleasing ways.
