Project Overview

We're seeking a volunteer to help us develop a social media marketing strategy to attract both new clients to use our services; as well as donors to help fund the costs of our programs. This project will play a key role in our organization's ability to raise brand awareness and impact community members. This project may include the following activities:

-Development of or updates to our nonprofit's social media presence
-Training one or two staff members on how to update our social media presence and monitor their performance
-Development of a social media marketing plan, identification of target audiences and advising on the best way to reach each target market segment.
-Making recommendations for future content projects that will improve our social media presence and effectiveness.

Our ideal volunteer has experience with social media platforms, marketing, and copywriting skills.

Reaching and educating our potential clients at this point in our development is critical. Our focus is veteran mental wellness and bridging the gap between a veteran who is hesitant to seek counseling and helping them take the first step to wellness. Equally important is reaching our potential donors to provide them with the opportunity to make a difference in a veteran's life. As the veteran's mental wellness improves, so too will the lives of the veteran's family members. What we do impacts generations.

To prepare, we have activated our website, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts. We are prepared to share the login credentials to our various platforms. In our first session together, we'll brief you on our marketing goals, as well as our mission, vision, and purpose. Your training of our team members on social media best practices will help ensure the long-term successful implementation of the great work you share with us.

Saltwater Warriors exists to help veterans find their way to mental wellness, enabling them to experience a life of empowerment and peace, using an open water experience to reduce the resistance to seeking counseling services. Leveraging blue space to break through stigma associated with mental wellness, leading the warrior to see counseling as an accessible tool; ultimately creating mentally resilient veterans fully participating in their lives, and the lives of their families and community.
