Project Overview

We are a middle school that offers academically talented, economically less advantaged children of diverse backgrounds a life-changing educational experience. We are searching for a talented grant writer to assist our team in writing grant proposals.

To implement this grant writing project, we would need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy of past foundation grant proposals as well information about our school. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our document using the track changes function checking for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and creates a list of recommended changes to share with us. The project will conclude after up to two rounds of edits which the volunteer will make the agreed-upon changes to the document. Our middle school changes lives. We offer academically talented, economically less advantaged children of diverse backgrounds a life-changing educational experience in grades 6-8, where they are empowered to reach their full potential. With the support of caring and dedicated teachers, students are introduced to an innovative yet challenging academic curriculum, strong core values, character development, and they learn to foster a sense of community. Upon graduation, our youngsters are well-equipped to become the leaders of tomorrow. Our school believes in a need-blind admissions process to ensure that students are evaluated based solely on their merits and not on their families’ ability to pay.

Our school is funded almost entirely by foundation grants (hence the importance of this project!) as well as generous individual donors. We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the document that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format. (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.) We'll also send you the proposal and application guidelines.
