Session Overview
Dog adoption rates have plummeted across the country and rescues are struggling financially due to loss of adoption fee income. Crossing Paths, a nonprofit dog rescue, is actively fundraising and will run a "Best Dog Photo & Video Contest" across social media to: 1. raise funds ($15 entry fee) and, 2. to draw the public to our social media pages and websites to improve our brand recognition (increase our pool of adopters). The success of this contest will depend on our marketing strategy and how many potential applicants that we can reach through advertising. Below is a link to our fundraiser page (please note that the contest page itself is not complete...I have to add in social media rules): https://www.crossingpathsanimalrescue.org/fundraisers
Nonprofit Overview
The mission of Crossing Paths Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Blount County, Alabama, is to find loving homes for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals that we rescue from local high-kill shelters. Prior to adopting them out to meticulously-screened applicants, we spay/neuter every one of our pups to stop the cycle of unwanted litters, which is particularly problematic in the South. We actively engage with the community and provide education. Our "Fix Your Mama" programs offer no- or low-cost spay/neutering to those who need it.
Our dedicated volunteers maintain the highest standard of care while providing our dogs with veterinary care and housing and provide the animals with much-needed love, tenderness, and compassion at all times. Most of our dogs are adopted by families in the Northeast, where there is a higher demand and greater likelihood of a better life due to cultural differences in how pets are treated. We transport the adopted dogs every 3 weeks to their new families.
Crossing Paths Animal Rescue works toward the day when no dog will suffer from abuse, neglect, or abandonment, and every dog has a loving home.
