Centro Community Partners
Mobile app development
We are relaunching our mobile app to help low-income entrepreneurs build their business plans, access microloans and remotely talk with a business advisor.
We're using a mixture of Xamarin, Azure and C#. Help us reach even greater impact by joining us in developing the next version of our mobile app. The current version of the app is essentially a prototype that evolved into a functional app that walks entrepreneurs through the process of building their first business plans.
This next version, has some exciting changes:
- A brand new UI which takes into account feedback from entrepreneurs, microlenders, and advisors,
- Built on a new cross-platform technology (Xamarin) that will allow our resource-strapped nonprofit to more efficiently by having 85+% of our code shared between the iOS and Android versions of our app,
- New section to help entrepreneurs find (non-predatory) microloan options in their area that are appropriate for their needs,
- The ability to remotely chat with a business coach. This is an ongoing project and we'd love to have support at any point. We've almost finished redesigning the Business Planning section. Our lead (volunteer) developer is a Xamarin expert and has offered to guide anyone who can step up to help in any capacity. We can easily create short (1-day) projects.
